The political world of the RPR’s party workers univers

When asked to place themselves in the political spectrum RPR’s militants refuse to see themselves as right wing. Equally, they see their party as much less conservative than the UDF. A study of the ideology of these militants does indeed show that the RPR represents a special form of right wing ideology, still strongly influenced by gaullism. Hostile to the left of course, at the same time they are, typically, preoccupied by social questions, dirigist, authoritarian and nationalistic.
