The current institutional debate

The current institutional debate has undergone a permanent change : promoted by the Socialist Party, desirous of giving an institutional aspect to its argument about alternation of powers, the debate has quickly covered the governability problem commencing with government-parliament relations. Significantly modifying the traditional position of the left, hostile to all prerogatives which favor the executive branch, this debate now extends to the questioning of the duties and internal democracy of the parties, principal players in the system, but also to other institutions such as judiciary and unions, old and new participants in the system.
