The Street and Social Segregation

The street is a value and should be conceived as a public good. However
the city, and the misery it brings about, has killed the street. To day
access to the street is what the poorest lack. In front of the dangers of
bad cities, the idea of a good city open to all has become a major political
stake. We should propose to build magnificent cities, because
improving the aspect of cities helps build the visible dignity of each
citizen and offer to all a right to urbanity.
