The Contemporary Methods of Acquiring French Nationality

The article deals both with what is required today to acquire French nationality and what stands in its way. Within this broad topic, it high- lights a number of contemporary tendencies, such as the impact of the evolution of the family model on the acquisition of nationality through marriage and birth, the pervasiveness of the fear of frauds, and the attention now paid to the conditions of assimilation to French society.
