Muslims and Globalisation

The Muslim world today is totally caught in the logic of globalisation.
The question is not whether to accept or reject it but rather to determine
what we want it to be. Muslims seem to lack an alternative project and
remain stuck with obsolete visions of the world. Therefore an intellectual
revolution is necessary in order to help thinkers and scholars elaborate
the principles of a genuine resistance. In order to broaden the
front of resistance and forge new alliances, Humanist, Jewish, Christian
and Muslim intellectuals should urgently build bridges and partnerships
of the South-South-North type through which they could learn to
know each other and to work together, in the name of their common
human dignity, while respecting their differences.
