Is Unicameralism Compatible with the Republic?

Predominant in the countries of the European Union, in France unicameralism
has been associated with the risk of a potential tyranny of the single assembly which would be solely responsible for voting the law. Constitutional history 187 leans in the direction of unicameralism, but the presidential bias of our institutions leans the other way. If the Senate disappeared today, we should fear not so much the dictatorship of the single assembly as the full development of our institutions’ presidential logic.
